The area around El Paso, known as El Chuco by the natives, is home to almost 3 million people. The city boasts a vibrant bilingual culture that offers plenty to do for residents and visitors alike.

Culture – El Paso is home to two world-class museums: the International Museum of Art and the Museum of History.  There are also a dozen others museums to visit, including the Gene Roddenberry Planetarium.  Throughout the years, the city has played host to a number of cultural and music festivals. Foremost among these are the Fiesta de las Flores (the oldest Hispanic cultural festival in the Southwest), the Downtown Street Festival, and the Neon Desert Music Festival.

Family Fun – Family fun El Paso entertainment starts with the Amigo Airshow and Balloonfest. Both shows are considered some of the best of their type in the country. For those who prefer more hands-on action, there is the KLAQ Great River Raft Race that takes you on a leisurely 3-mile ride down the Rio Grande.  Event organizers encourage the participants to decorate their rafts in outlandish ways to try to win the Grand Prize at the end of the cruise.

Sports –  College football fans who visit around the New Year can catch the Hyundai Sun Bowl. The venue is fantastic and the games between the PAC-12 and ACC champions are always highly intense. El Paso has Triple-A baseball, ice hockey, and indoor soccer teams, as well as a highly developed NCAA Division-I program in multiple sports at the University of Texas El Paso.

Nightlife – El Paso has its share of suburban malls,  such as Cielo Vista, Sunland Park, and The Outlet Shoppes. It also has Kern Place – famous for its artsy coffee shops, glitzy nightclubs, and fine dining establishments.  The Montecillo Shopping District  area is also noted for its outlandish and incredibly stylish boutique stores. No matter what you are looking to buy, you can find it on one corner of El Paso or another.

Whatever your reason for visiting,  you will find plenty of El Paso entertainment for everyone in your family.  For further visit Sunset Ranches online or call us directly at 800-939-2654.
